An exceptional and rewarding experience, Hyack tire is first rate. I had my timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, VVTi camshaft sprocket replaced on my Japanese import in April, 2015. After an oil change that went wrong at one of those quick lube joints I was weary of bad workmanship. From the moment I walked in I felt like I finally found a home to have my vehicle serviced. The staff and crew are in my view is what a consumer is looking for; honest and friendly service and not feeling like they've been taken for a ride.

The big shops and chain shops should look to Hyack Tire to find out what customer service really means. This is a quaint little shop with a small town "ma-and-pa" feel to it. I walked in this morning with a trailer tire that needed to be patched. The service advisor immediately apologized for the wait even though it really wasn't long of a wait. When I came back to pick it up, as I was paying for it… a service technician had put it in a giant plastic bag so it wouldn't get my trunk dirty, moved it out to my car, and stood by it waiting to help me put it in the trunk. This is not ground-breaking stuff and probably won't lead to world peace. But all this service for the most insignificant repair - a tire patch. It left an impression on me. The technicians seem pretty happy to be there. I'll definitely be coming back and telling others about this place.

Hyack Excel Tire's service team is so professional, so kind, so trustworthy that even when I'm having just a terrible day and my car needs to go into the shop, I still walk out with a smile. They make the process as painless as possible and I know I can be confident with the work they have done. They don't overcharge, and they don't try to upsell you on work that doesn't need to be done. As a single female, I've had my fair share of mistreatment at various repair shops. But *never once* have I been made to feel uncomfortable, unwelcome or stupid at this shop. They have always treated me with respect and understanding.
This might be a bit long, but it's only because I have so many good things to say about Hyack Excel Tire. I've been taking my aging vehicle there for about 2 years now. I started going to them based on a recommendation from a family member who has been taking their vehicles there for as long as they could remember.
As long as I have a vehicle and live in the province, I will be taking it to Hyack Excel Tire with confidence. Thanks for all you do!

Hi, David.
Just wanted to follow up on the suspension work done on my Rav4 on Monday.
Driving to Whistler after picking it up, it was noticeably better. Yesterday, I drove 80km on gravel roads and it was markedly better performing - I think the suspension is better now than with the original toyota parts, even when they were new.
I also want to thank you and the staff for efficient, courteous work, and give my apologies for the dirty under-carriage to the mechanic that did the work. Unfortunately, I had travelled on snow covered dirt roads, as well as rain soaked muddy roads prior to arriving in New Westminster.
To Michelin Tire Customer Care
After contacting Michelin on an 800 number we were given the names of a couple of Michelin Tire Shops/Dealers. Some of the numbers we received were no longer in business. We contacted Hyack Tire @ 66 - Sixth Street, New Westminster, British Columbia. They gave us professional, efficient and prompt service. A very short test drive determined that we had faulty wheel bearings which were replaced immediately. Now our XTrail runs quietly and the tires live up to the "whisper quiet" advertised specs. The Dealer where we purchased our tires failed to look after us and did not test drive the vehicle but blamed everything on wheel alignment. We feel this is not an acceptable way of looking after clients.
Thank you for recommending Hyack Tire and we will continue to do business with them. They care about the customer and have good knowledge of vehicles and products.
